Bookzilla is an online book and stationery store based in May Pen, Clarendon. Books are our main product — but we stock a little bit of everything, for everyone.
What inspired us to get into this form of business was the growing use of technology and the ease with which it brings the world to your fingertips. In January 2019 we opened Bookzilla as an online book and stationery store, run out of May Pen, Clarendon.
We started with what we knew best — books. Then customers began asking. Do you have exercise books? A calculator for CSEC? Ink for my printer? Can you bind my SBA? Rather than sending people to a second shop, we stocked it, and then we started doing it ourselves.
Today Bookzilla carries school books from pre-K through CAPE, activity and colouring books, Bibles and general reading, a growing pre-loved shelf, stationery, small electronics and computer accessories, board games and toys — plus printing, copying, binding and laminating at the counter.
The heart of it hasn’t changed. We are unique in the level of service we provide to our customers, and we stand behind our products and services. Satisfaction guaranteed.
What drives the way we buy, price and serve.
To offer the best online shopping experience available in Jamaica — where a parent, teacher or office manager finds everything they need, gets an honest answer about it, and receives it when we said they would.
To grow from a Clarendon store into the Caribbean’s most trusted educational supplier — serving Jamaica first, then the wider region, and the diaspora buying for family back home.
We stand behind our products and services. If an order is wrong, late or not what you expected, tell us — we fix it. Satisfaction guaranteed is the reason people come back.
There are other places to buy a book in Jamaica. Here is why customers keep choosing this one.
Message us on WhatsApp with a photo of a book list and a person replies — with what we have, what it costs and what we’d substitute. No ticket numbers, no chatbot loops.
We stock to what Jamaican schools actually set — PEP practice papers, ability test books, performance task workbooks, primary readers, CSEC guides and CAPE unit texts.
Textbooks, exercise books, printer ink, a webcam and a birthday board game in a single order. Most stores cover one of those categories. We cover all of them.
Printing, copying, binding and laminating in store, so an SBA can be printed, bound and collected without a second trip across town.
Quality-checked used books at up to half price, with condition stated honestly. Good for budgets, and good for keeping books in circulation.
If it isn’t on the shelf, that isn’t the end of the conversation. Give us a title, author or ISBN and we’ll source it and quote it — no obligation until you say yes.
Everything customers ask before their first order. Still stuck? Send us a message.
Bookzilla operates from May Pen, Clarendon, Jamaica, and we are open Monday to Saturday, 7:00am to 6:00pm, and Sunday 7:00am to 2:00pm.
Orders are dispatched from May Pen and delivered across all 14 parishes. If you would like to collect an order in person, message us first and we will have it packed and waiting.
Yes. We buy specifically to the Jamaican curriculum — pre-K readiness books, primary textbooks, PEP mathematics curriculum practice papers, PEP ability test books, performance task workbooks, CSEC study guides and CAPE unit texts.
Schools sometimes specify a particular edition or publisher. Send us a photo of the book list and we will match the exact editions, or tell you honestly if something has been discontinued and what the approved alternative is.
We place special orders every week — it has been part of how we work since day one. Give us the title, author or ISBN and we will confirm the price and how long it will take to arrive. There is no obligation until you approve the quote.
Island delivery is free on bulk orders. For smaller orders we quote a flat rate based on your parish before you pay — never a surprise at checkout.
Orders placed before 1:00pm on a working day are typically dispatched the same day. Most Clarendon and Kingston deliveries arrive in 1–2 working days; other parishes usually take 2–4.
We do. We regularly ship to customers in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, as well as across the wider Caribbean. Many of these orders come from relatives buying Jamaican curriculum books for family back home.
International shipping is quoted per order based on weight and destination. Message us with your list and delivery address for an exact figure.
Yes — all four, in store. We handle school projects, SBAs, church and funeral programmes, business documents, certificates and signage.
Prices depend on quantity, paper size, colour and finish, so we quote each job rather than publish a rate card. See the Printing & Services page and send us your file.
Yes, and we would love to. Send us the list — a grade’s textbooks, a term of classroom stationery, a staff room’s printer cartridges — and we will return a formal quote with bulk pricing, one consolidated invoice and a single scheduled delivery. Island delivery is free on bulk orders.
We do. Our pre-loved shelf carries quality-checked used textbooks, children’s favourites and fiction at up to half the price of new. Every item is inspected before it goes on sale and the condition is stated honestly on the product page.
Bank transfer, credit or debit card, and cash on delivery within Jamaica. For international orders we will confirm the available options when we quote your shipping.
Tell us within 10 days and we will make it right. If the error was ours — wrong item, defective product — we cover the return shipping and there is no restocking fee. Full details are on our Returns Policy page.
Browse the store, or send us the list and let us do the work. Either way you’re dealing with people who care whether the order is right.
